The Falls of Falloch are on the River
Falloch at the north end of Loch Lomond, 54
miles northwest of Glasgow, 5 miles south of
Grianlarich Village, next to the A82
road that runs north to Oban and Fort
William.

The image top is of the Drovers Inn at the north end of
Loch Lomond, a real popular spot for meals and
drinks. The Falls of Falloch are 2 miles north
of the Inn.
Parking for the Falls of Falloch are just in
off the A82 Road, often full with some cars
parking on the roadside.
The Police often put cones on the roadside
to prevent parking there as it is a fast and
busy stretch of road.
You can walk to the Falls from the Drovers
Inn 2 miles, or from Crianlarich 5 miles via
the West Highland
Way Walking Trail.
1700s early - Rob Roy MacGregor from this
area Drove Cattle down this way, with the Pool
at the Falls known as Rob Roy's Bathtub.
1803 - Dorothy
Wordsworth, sister of William Wordsworth,
visited the Falls with Samuel Coleridge on
their well documented tour of Scotland, this
being when tourism to Scotland was growing
dramatically with many large Hotels being built
in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs area.
1930s - Scottish mountaineer W. H. Murray
almost drowned after falling into the River
Falloch just above the Falls.
