The image top is of the road to Glenbrittle
heading down into Glen Brittle with the Cuillin
Mountains in the distance.
The second image from passing the car park
for the Fairy Pools, a real popular
attraction on Skye.
This is a single lane road with many passing
places down through the Glen with the Cuillin
Mountains on the left. There are Car Parks down
this road for hiking the Cuillin Mountains, see
the Click on Map link above for links to
information and images of the Hiking
Routes.
From the Fairy Pools, it is about 3 miles to
Glenbrittle with the Glenbrittle
Campsite & Cafe at the head of Loch
Brittle.
By the Campsite is a peaceful Beach and Car
Park for the Walks and Hiking.
There are a few Walks from Glenbrittle, and
some of the toughest Hiking on Skye, to the
mountains Sgurr Alasdair
highest mountain on Skye at 992m 3,255ft,
Sgurr Dearg the
In Pinn, and Sgurr na
Banachdaich.
Sgurr Dearg is the most famous mountain on
Skye as it contains the Inaccessible
Pinnacle, the only mountain in Scotland
that has to be climbed to reach the top. Most
hikers have to hire a Climbing Guide
to reach the top of this Mountain.
