Inverness
Castle is just off the High Street, with
great views over the City and Riverside. This
Castle was built in 1836 to serve as the County
Hall of Inverness-shire. There had been two
other more historic Castles on this site
before. Inverness Castle Large Image.
The Castle now serves as the County Court.
You can walk around the Castle grounds for top
views over Inverness, Riverside and Cathedral.
The Castle Viewpoint opened in 2017
allowing visitors to climb the stairs of one of
the Towers for even better views over the
City.
St Andrews
Cathedral is on the west side of the River
Ness, a short scenic walk from the City centre.
The Cathedral was completed in 1869 for the
seat of the Bishop of Moray, Ross and
Caithness. The Cathedral is good for photos
inside and out, although many trees make
exterior photos testing.
