pier. There is a large information board here
that gives information on the sights across the
sea, such as the Mull of Galloway, Isle of Man, and
Ireland.
This Bronze Statue, known as, The Man, was
created by the local artist Andrew Brown in
2005.
This Bronze Statue replaced an earlier Stone
Statue that was showing signs of age.
The Blue Building overlooking the Harbour is
The View Cafe and Gift Shop.
The end of the Pier is a popular spot for
Sea Fishing. There is also a Beach about half
of a mile south popular for Fishing with Sea
Bass the top prize. The Sea
Fishing Beach has a Rock Shelf that
stretches well out, you may see Fishermen
wading out about 50 yards.
Drumtrodden Standing Stones are
2 miles east next to the B7021 road to
Whithorn.
Barsalloch Fort is just under 2 miles
south of Port William with a car park right
next to the main road. It is a steep climb up
to the Fort for great views.
The Gavin Maxwell Otter Statue is 3 and a
half miles south of Port William, on a high
point overlooking Saint Medan Golf Club, and
the tiny Village of Monreith.
This is one of the most scenic spots in
Scotland. You can walk up the hiking trail from
