The Road passes right through the middle of
the Glenshee Ski Centre with a large
Diner with mountain views. Large

You can also take a Chairlift most of the
year to the top of the 933m / 3,061ft Cairnwell
mountain for amazing views. Large

The 3 Mountains over 3,000ft at the Ski
Centre are the Cairnwell 933m / 3,061ft, Carn
Aosda 917m / 3,009ft, and on the east side of
the road, Glas Maol 1,068m / 3,504ft. Mountains

The image top is of Blairgowrie Centre.
Second top is of the A93 looking north towards
the Spittal of Glenshee.
Dalmunzie House Hotel is about 1 mile up a
country road at the Spittal of Glenshee.
The Spittal of Glenshee Bridge is next to
the A93, only a very short detour.
Next to the Bridge is the Spittal of
Glenshee Church.
From the Spittal of Glenshee, the road goes
up into the Cairnwell Pass. If cloudy, you will
be driving through clouds with little
visibility, a strange experience.
If sunny, the views are amazing with
mountains all around.
There is a sign at the Cairnwell Pass for
the start of Aberdeenshire.
At the Pass is the Glenshee Ski Centre with
a large Diner named Tee at the Shee.
The Chairlift next to the Diner runs most of
the year to just below the top of Cairnwell
Mountain. You only have to walk a short
distance to the Summit Cairn.
Operators stop and start the Chairlift so
you do not need to hop on and off like the
Skiers do in winter.

The road goes steep downhill from the Ski
Centre, then runs north beside Clunie Water
into the scenic village of Braemar.
