Links course, on the north side of
Prestwick
by Ayr. Prestwick Golf Club, known to
many as Old Prestwick, was the fist
course to host the Open Championship when
the tournament began in 1860. Situated
less than 0.5 miles from the town centre

Gailes
Links course, on the south side of
Irvine.
Founded in 1897, the club is recognised
as one of the top true links courses in
Scotland, measuring 6899 yards from the
championship tees. The course held the
Curtis Cup, PGA Championship, Seniors,
and Scottish Amateur Championship. It is
also one of the final qualifying courses
for The Open at Turnberry or Troon. Price

Links
Links course, on the south side of
Irvine.
The 6,410 - 7,300 yard par 72 Dundonald
Links is situated between Troon and
Irvine. Prices for visitors are about
£40 - £95 per round. This is
one of the newest Links courses in
Scotland opening in 2003. The course is
owned by the company that runs the Loch
Lomond Golf Club that is a parks course.
This course was aquired to give their
international members an alternative

the Gailes area of Irvine. Situated about

The 6,016-yard par 69 Loudoun is situated
on the outskirts of the town Galston.
This course gets more interesting each
year as the trees that line the fairways
mature. The 12th is the top hole as you
have to cross the same burn twice to
reach the green. The course, bar and
