This Peninsular in Galloway is known as the Machars, with a number of historic attractions and scenic Villages. The drive around the Machars is about 45 miles, a full day if visiting the many Attractions.

The image top is looking north towards Luce Bay. This is one of the top coastal roads in southern Scotland, with great views west to the Mull of Galloway.

The Cock Inn is right next to Luce Bay with great views, popular for meals and drinks.

Luce Bay stretches for miles, great for walking, and popular for beach fishing, with Sea Bass the top catch. Fishing Forum.

Luce Bay Holiday Park & Lodges is next to the Cock Inn with views over Luce Bay. The Park has a number of Caravans and Lodges available for holidays.

The road south leads to Port William, Whithorn, St Ninian Cave, and the Isle of Whithorn, a real scenic coastal drive.
