Buchanan Street

Buchanan Street
One of the top shopping streets in Glasgow centre, running south to north, from Argyle Street to Sauchiehall Street. The Street has many high-end shops, and a number of restaurants. The trendy Princes Square shopping centre is on the right hand side going up, and the large Buchanan Galleries shopping centre is on the right, close to the top.

Argyle Street

Argyle Street
Glasgow center, one of the bussiest shopping streets in the city, with a number of interesting stores, such as a vast number of shoe shops, sports and fashion. Argyle street runs from west to east, with the main section being from Glasgow Central Train Station, running east to the Trongate. Off Argyle Street, to the left, is the Argyle Arcade with over 30 jewellers and diamond merchants. Also off Argyle Street, to the right, is the enormous St Enoch Centre.

Sauchiehall Street

Sauchiehall Street
Another main shopping street, to the north of the City centre, running from the north end of Buchanan Street, going west into the area of Kelvingrove. The main part is now pedestrian only. Sauchiehall Street has a good selection of stores, restaurants, bar diners, and nightclubs.

Buchanan Galleries Shopping Centre

Buchanan Galleries Shopping Centre
At the top of Buchanan Street in Glasgow centre that opened in 1999. The owners claim the centre has the best selection of shops in Glasgow, with about 90 shops all together, and about 16 eat and drink venues.

Princes Square Shopping Centre
In Glasgow centre, off Buchanan Street. The centre was built in 1986, containing a number of Fashion, Beauty, Jewellery, and Gifts & Lifestyle shops. The centre also holds about 10 Restaurants and Cafes.

St Enoch Shopping Centre Glasgow image

In the centre of Glasgow off Argyle Street. The centre was opened in 1989, becoming the largest glassed roof building in Europe. The St Enoch Centre has over 100 stores, from large well known high street brands, to designer and fashion shops. St Enoch's has a large restaurant area with about 15 enticing fast food outlets.

Braehead Shopping Centre image

Braehead Shopping Centre
6 miles west of Glasgow Centre, with about 100 shops and 6,500 car parking spaces. The 77 First Group bus from Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow centre, runs right to the Braehead Shopping Centre about every 20 minutes. The centre has a large ice rink, kids play centre, champagne and cocktail bar, and many eateries.

Next door, is the large XSITE Braehead, with climbing, Adventure Golf, 12 screen Odeon cinema with IMAX, bowling, shooting (lasers), dodgem cars, and a good selection of restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Silverburn Shopping Centre image

6 miles southwest of Glasgow City Centre, just off the M77. Silverburn Shopping Centre has about 100 stores, many up-market and designer, eateries, and 4,500 car parking spaces. Regular Buses such as the X8 run between Buchanan Bus Station and Silverburn Shopping Centre about every 20 minutes.

Parkhead Forge Shopping Centre image

3 miles east of Glasgow centre, with over 70 shops and 1,600 car parking spaces and a number of eateries. Bus 255 runs between Buchanan Bus Station and Parkhead Cross by The Forge, about every 30 minutes, travel time about 15 minutes. Next to the Parkhead Forge is the Forge Maket, Scotland's largest indoor Market.

East Kilbride Shopping Centre image

East Kilbride Shopping Centre
12 miles southeast of Glasgow centre with about 200 shops, many eateries, and parking for 1,000s of cars. The centre has a Cinema, Ice Rink & Gym. There are regular trains from Glasgow Central to East Kilbride taking about 50 minutes, then there is a 15 minute walk to the Shopping Centre.
